Like a lot of people in this industry, I started by figuring things out. I was curious about how businesses grew online, how websites could become real tools – not just digital brochures – and how marketing could be done in a way that actually made commercial sense.
That curiosity turned into a career. Over 15 years, I’ve worked across digital marketing, web design, web development, SEO, paid advertising, and brand strategy – learning by doing, project after project.

The journey
Key milestones along the way
The agency years
Copy, SEO, paid acquisition – the standard ladder. Learned the trade on retail, hospitality, and a couple of fintechs nobody can name anymore. Discovered that most marketing problems are, in fact, business model problems.
Brand-side, in the room
In-house at brands like Wix and Amazon Ads. Built the unglamorous machinery – measurement, attribution, lifecycle. Wrote things, shipped things, occasionally killed things that didn’t deserve to live.
Fome, the practice, the letter
Founded Fome Agency. Started writing The Dispatch. Quietly worked with Microsoft, PayPal, Mailchimp, Webflow, Fiverr, Brother, and several hundred smaller businesses who’d rather not be named in a footer. Still going.
How I think about marketing and business growth
Three principles that guide everything I do – for my own business and for every client I work with.
Strategy first, always
I never start with tactics. Every website, every campaign, every piece of marketing should be tied to a clear business objective. Without strategy, you’re just guessing.
Clarity over complexity
Good marketing isn’t complicated – it’s clear. I simplify complex ideas so that business owners can actually understand and act on them. No jargon, no unnecessary layers.
Commercially driven
Everything ties back to growth. I think about ROI, lead generation, and real business results – not vanity metrics. If it doesn’t move the needle, it doesn’t make the plan.
